Review – Hawthorn Brewing Beers

Recently I mentioned the Hawthorn Brewing Discovery pack and how it was like a tasting paddle, but in a box. Not long after that Hawthorn’s Andrew McCall dropped by with a sample box of the Discovery Pack for me to try. I have tasted all of these beers over the year. But it was good to get to try all the beers at once, including the latest recipes and contract brewing company. There are still a … Read entire article »

Midnight in Bombay by Hawthorn Brewing

Hawthorn Brewing Golden Ale Review

Hawthorn Brewing Golden Ale Review

Andrew McCall wound his way through the busy city traffic to drop of a six-pack of Hawthorn Brewing’s latest beer, their Golden Ale. Fortunately, the 15-minute parking spot out the front, which is always full, was vacant as if it too was eager to see Andrew. Hawthorn’s new brew is a Blond Ale, with some wheat to give it a dry finish, similar to some of the other successful Golden Ales on the market. The beer … Read entire article »

Hawthorn Brewing IPA Review

Hawthorn Brewing IPA Review

Hawthorn Brewing is now well known for their pale ale, which has been well received by both the public and the beer community. A couple of weeks ago I got an email from Hawthorn Brewing’s Peter Willis about their new IPA, and that they wanted to send me a couple of bottles to try. I agreed, not being one to say no to this kind of work. A week later the mailman delivered two stubbies, an … Read entire article »
